Our vision is to build the best possible product; one that will last forever. We build it as exciting & custom as possible, our designs are practical, functional, simple, yet elegant.  Practical is underlined by functional, in the material that we use for the environment (recycled products); energy saving, heat mass, durability, fire retardency, protection from and use of the elements.  The layout of the house is for ease of movement through all phases of a lifetime.  We have never built the same house twice.  All our homes are  beautiful, handmade, and not production or “factory” made.  Green building concepts & Universal Design - user friendly for all ages and abilities.

Company History

Jon Traeger has lived in the Truckee area since 1981.  He received his general contracting license in 1985 and founded Norwegian Wood Construction Company.  To this day his company strives for customer satisfaction shows in everything he creates. In the 25 years of contracting, Jon has built a reliable team and prides himself on consistent and excellent follow-up before, during and after all of his projects.
